Sarah - Office Coordinator
I have been in the healthcare field since 1995, practicing as a certified medical assistant, and front office administrative assistant. I can truly say that the transition into the field of dentistry has been a great pleasure for me.
My goal as the Office Coordinator is to make sure that each person that calls or walks in the front door is made to feel welcome and cared for. Its easy to relax in our homey reception area, complete with a juice bar, consisting of fruit juices, hot coffee, tea, apple cider, hot cocoa, and more.
In my free time I enjoy painting abstract art, listening to live music, taking naps and spending time with loved ones.
Kathy - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant
I graduated from Old Dominion University, Va. in 1987 as a Certified Dental Assistant. I relocated back to the west coast in 1995 and have resided in Portland ever since. My travels have provided me with great diversity in my field.
I feel privaleged to work with Dr. Carothers assisting our patients. He provides all aspects of dentistry, allowing me to utilize my skills and our patients the convenience of noth aving to be referred to a specialty practice. His diversity and talent along with his quality patient care keep it motivating and interesting.
You will find that my co-workers are all expertise in their field. Our goal as an office is to provide you with a warm and welcome atmosphere where you feel comfortable and well cared foro from the moment you arrive and through out your stay with us.
When I am not in the office I enjoy the love of my family, camping, boating, motorcycle riding, music and life in general.
Ali - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant/EFODA
I graduated from Portland Community College Dental Assisting Program in 1983. I have worked for Dr. Carothers years ago as the Front Office Coordinator, now I am back as one of his assistants. At Dr. Carother's office I feel most at home. Not only do I see his dentistry as perfection but Dr. Carothers and his stff are like my family. In my years of Dental Assisting, I have recieved extensive training in Surgical, Orthodontic and Esthetic dentistry.
It is my job as a dental assistant to help make you as a patient feel comfortable and at ease before, during, and after treatment. We offer many comfort conveniences such as soft blankets, ear phones and pillows to make your dental experience easy, peaceful, and painless.
During my spare time I play with racecars at PIR in THe SCCA Flagchief for the Oregon Region. I have a 22 year old daughter named Erica who I am very proud of.
RaeNell - Office Manager/Financial Coordinator/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
I was raised in the Northwest, before moving to Colorado for 3 years. After moving back to Oregon I got my dental assisting liscense at Concorde Career Institute. I have been working with Dr. Dave ever since, and absolutly love it!
My primary function is to help our patients find an easy and comfortable way to pay for their dental investment. If financing is needed, I am able to offer some great options including interest-free for up to 18 months or up to 60 months at a moderate interest rate. I have an office with which to keep our discussions private. I have a willing ear to help patients that may need a little more time understanding their recommended treatment, how that impacts their finances and to help them find a way to make the investment in their oral health. In what could be an uncomfortable or difficult situation, my goal is to be compassionate and communicate solutions with you. Part of my job also includes the dental insurance area such as finding out the benefits, submitting and tracking insurance claims. I treat our patients like I would want to be treated. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and all things social!
